Therefore, discussion will be an opportunity for scholars, policymakers, and the general public to engage with the research and findings presented in the book. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions on the implications of the Baltic states' engagement with China, the challenges, and opportunities that arise from the relationship.
One of the central themes of the discussion is the issue of dependency and conditionality, which refers to the possible strings attached to China's investments, such as political influence or market access. The discussion will explore how the Baltic states can mitigate the risks of over-reliance on China and promote a more diversified economic and political engagement with the rest of the world.
